The TX2 is our newest dual purpose seat. It has a tubular steel frame with a unique mounting system that maximizes headroom. The seat suspension straps can actually touch the floor when the seat is in use. The bottom cushion is only 1" thick above the straps so you sit low to the floor. Installation is very easy with our floor brackets that have nuts attached to the underside at 2" intervals. Velcro straps allow you to remove the bottom cushion (photos 7 and 8) and lift up the cover on the inside of the bottom bolsters (photo 9). Choose the location where you want the seat to be positioned and bolt down thru the rails on the bottom of the seat into the floor brackets. Even without a slider this method allows you to reposition the seat in only a few minutes if needed. A slider can be added but you would loose some of the headroom the seat was designed to gain.

In photo 11 of a broomstick test, the top two pictures are with the stock NB Miata seat. The bottom left is in the TX2 with the cushion in place and the bottom right with the cushion removed (basically sitting on the floor).

The seats in the first four pictures are simulated leather with suede inserts. If seats were ordered with suede centers the inside of the side bolsters and the headrest would be suede as well.
